The 2025 restoration of Only Two Can Play was 4K 16-bit by FilmFinity in the UK, using the best available 35mm materials as the source. More than 250 hours of meticulous digital restoration and picture grading followed. Respecting the film’s original photographic style, the new grade was shaped to remain faithful to its period look while maximising the integrity of the source materials. Alongside the 4K SDR master, FilmFinity also produced a Dolby Vision HDR version, offering audiences the option to experience the film with enhanced dynamic range and depth. The result is a restoration that honours the film’s legacy and ensures its continued life on screen.
